Embattled Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis has responded to new allegations regarding her relationship with Special Prosecutor Nathan Wade in the Georgia election fraud case involving former President Donald Trump. The allegations suggest that their romantic involvement may have started before they both testified it did.

According to court documents obtained by The Post, newly revealed phone records indicate that Wade made at least 35 late-night visits near Willis's condo in Hapeville before their confessed affair. The timeline raises questions about the nature of their relationship, including a visit by Wade before he was appointed to prosecute Trump.

Willis' office filed a rebuttal to the Trump team's motion, dismissing the relevance of the phone data, stating that it does not prove the content of communications between Wade and Willis, or confirm their physical proximity. Willis' lawyers also emphasized evidence showing that she and Wade were not in the same place on certain dates, including being at work at the Fulton County District Attorney's Office or visiting crime scenes of mass murders motivated by race and gender bias.

Legal representatives pushing for Willis's disqualification from the Trump case engaged a criminal defense investigator to analyze the phone records. Investigator Charles Mittelstadt highlighted specific dates of Wade's presence near Willis's apartment in September and November of 2021.

Furthermore, Willis' legal team questioned the legality of how Trump's lawyers obtained the cellphone data. The developments suggest a continued legal battle surrounding the alleged relationship between the Fulton County District Attorney and the special prosecutor in the high-profile case.
