**Diddy's Legal Team Pushes for Gag Order Amid Media Storm on Sex Trafficking Case**

Attorneys for Sean "Diddy" Combs have intensified their plea for a gag order from a federal judge in response to claims from an alleged grand jury witness who asserts possession of incriminating sexual videos of the music mogul. Legal representatives Marc Agnifilo and Teny Geragos filed a motion to United States District Judge Arun Subramanian, arguing for the need to limit public statements from potential witnesses and their lawyers while the court considers the arguments from both sides.

This motion is the latest effort by Combs' legal team, who initially requested a gag order in late October. They pointed to a surge of at least twelve new civil lawsuits against Combs following his arrest in September. His lawyers argue that unrestricted public commentary could undermine his right to a fair trial ahead of its scheduling in May 2025. Combs has entered a plea of not guilty to the three charges he faces.

Prosecutors with the Southern District of New York have opposed the motion, labeling the request as overly broad and excessive. They contend that such restrictions could inhibit the speech of accusers not directly part of the criminal case. Attorney Douglas Wigdor, representing Casandra "Cassie" Ventura and another unidentified client, also objected, stating that the gag order would unjustly silence victims pursuing justice through civil court.

Amidst the heated exchanges, Combs' legal team adamantly denies the existence of the alleged videos. They claim that the media frenzy has falsely propagated the notion of such videos, which they argue is prejudicial against their client. "These stories have spread rapidly through the media and created the impression that such videos exist, which is false, and that the government is actually crediting his sensational claims, which is profoundly prejudicial," Agnifilo and Geragos wrote.

In the absence of a decisive gag order, individuals like Mitchell and Burgess have appeared on news programs discussing the alleged incriminating material. Burgess, who identifies as a music industry veteran and purported former acquaintance of Kim Porter, Combs' ex-partner, asserts that Porter provided him with flash drives containing explicit content. Combs' attorneys claim Combs has never met Burgess.

Additionally, Burgess claims involvement in the release of a contentious "memoir" purportedly written by Porter, despite widespread discrediting by Porter's family and friends. The book, filled with numerous errors and dubious claims about Combs, has been deemed fake by those close to Porter, including her ex-partner Al B. Sure!.
