In a shocking turn of events, music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs has released a video statement on his Instagram page, apologizing for his "inexcusable" behavior captured in a recently surfaced video. The video has only intensified the ongoing federal investigation and civil lawsuits against Combs, including allegations of rape and physical abuse by his former partner, Casandra Ventura, also known as Cassie.

In his heartfelt Instagram statement, Combs expressed deep remorse for his actions, acknowledging that he had hit rock bottom and was disgusted by his behavior in the video. He confessed to seeking therapy and rehabilitation following the incident, emphasizing his commitment to personal growth and self-improvement. Combs, however, made it clear that he was not seeking forgiveness but instead was offering a genuine apology.

The disturbing video, captured in a hotel hallway in March 2016 and released by CNN, offers multiple angles of the incident. It shows Combs running down the hall in a towel, grabbing and violently throwing a woman to the ground, kicking her twice, and subsequently dragging her by her sweatshirt. The footage concludes with Combs sitting in a chair and appearing to throw an object, though the video lacks audio.

Douglas Wigdor, Cassie's attorney, expressed his support for his client, stating that the video further confirms Combs' disturbing and predatory behavior. Ventura's bravery in coming forward to shed light on the incident was commended, as Wigdor emphasized the impact of her courage in addressing the issue.

While the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office acknowledged the disturbing nature of the video, they stated that due to the incident being outside the statute of limitations for assault, they would be unable to press charges in connection to the video. The statement made it clear that no case had been presented against Combs regarding the depicted attack.

It is worth noting that Combs remains a subject of a federal inquiry, with his properties in California and Florida being raided by agents from Homeland Security Investigations. This operation, executed in March, involved the seizure of Combs' phones. Since Cassie's initial claims against him came to light, Combs has faced five lawsuits alleging sexual assault, sexual trafficking, and other criminal activities. He continues to deny all allegations, seeking to dismiss certain lawsuits through legal filings.

One of Combs' attorneys, Aaron Dyer, released a statement following the federal raids, defending his client's innocence and accusing the lawsuits of lacking merit. Dyer highlighted the absence of findings of criminal or civil liability in relation to the allegations made against Combs, labeling them as baseless.

As the federal investigation and civil lawsuits against Combs continue, the release of the disturbing video and Combs' subsequent apology have intensified public scrutiny. The music industry and fans alike are now left to ponder the consequences and implications surrounding these allegations and the ongoing legal proceedings against a prominent figure within the entertainment world.
