**Severe Storms and Tornadoes Hit Oklahoma, Leave Thousands Without Power**
Severe storms and tornadoes wreaked havoc on Oklahoma early Sunday, causing significant damage and leaving tens of thousands of residents without power. The violent weather battered the state, particularly affecting areas in and around Oklahoma City, as well as other parts scattered throughout the state.
The storms prompted tornado warnings extending south to the Arkansas state line and resulted in various injuries. Authorities confirmed that 11 individuals were hospitalized with injuries, though none were life-threatening. The severity of the storms led to numerous life disruptions, including flash flooding and at least one house fire sparked by lightning.
Initially, over 99,000 homes and businesses in Oklahoma experienced power outages. Efforts to restore power have been somewhat successful, reducing the number of affected homes and businesses to around 24,000 by late Sunday afternoon. Despite the widespread damage and disruption, no fatalities have been reported.
As the community begins to assess and recover from the damage, authorities are working diligently to restore order and provide necessary assistance to those affected by the night’s severe weather.
