### Tigers to Host First Home Postseason Game in a Decade

Detroit ― On Wednesday, the Detroit Tigers are set to host their first home postseason game in 10 years. The last time Comerica Park saw postseason action was in 2014 when the Tigers were swept by the Baltimore Orioles in the American League Division Series.

Returning to Comerica Park for Game 3 of this year's ALDS, the Tigers are tied with the Cleveland Guardians, each having secured one win. Detroit's most recent victory came off a dramatic three-run homer by Kerry Carpenter in the ninth inning of Monday’s 3-0 win in Cleveland. Carpenter is slated to bat second in Wednesday's lineup, which is strategically stacked with left-handed hitters to face the Guardians' right-handed veteran starter, Alex Cobb. Cobb, who has only made three starts this season for Cleveland, last appeared in the postseason in 2013 with the Tampa Bay Rays.

The Tigers have assigned Keider Montero to start as the “opener” for Game 3. Montero had pitched two innings in the 7-0 loss during Game 1, giving up one hit and striking out three. The game is scheduled to begin at 3:08 p.m., with a sellout crowd of over 44,000 fans anticipated. Detroit Tigers legend Alan Trammell will throw the ceremonial first pitch.

Both lineups for Game 3 have been confirmed. For Detroit, Parker Meadows (CF) will lead off, followed by Kerry Carpenter (DH), Matt Vierling (3B), Riley Greene (LF), Wenceel Perez (RF), Colt Keith (2B), Spencer Torkelson (1B), Trey Sweeney (SS), and Jake Rogers (C). For Cleveland, the lineup consists of Steven Kwan (LF), Kyle Manzardo (DH), Jose Ramirez (3B), Josh Naylor (1B), Lane Thomas (CF), Andres Gimenez (2B), Will Brennan (RF), Bo Naylor (C), and Brayan Rocchio (SS).

The stage is set for a thrilling matchup as the Tigers aim to leverage their home-field advantage.
