The Australian actress, 69, filed for divorce in New York, a move first reported by the Daily Mail. The filing includes documents related to their settlement, such as health care coverage and a certificate of dissolution, according to her lawyer, Elena Karabatos.

Furness and Jackman, who married in 1996, share two children: Oscar, 25, and Ava, 19. Sources revealed that a financial settlement has been reached which Furness finds satisfactory, and includes a significant spousal support payment. Despite some negotiation difficulties, both parties emerge from the settlement financially secure.

There are no contested issues in the divorce, and both Furness and Jackman are committed to co-parenting amicably. "They have ironed out all the details, including alimony and future expenses for their children," an insider shared.

Reports had previously indicated that the couple delayed filing for divorce due to challenges in dividing their estimated $250 million fortune. Speculation about Jackman's relationship with his former "The Music Man" co-star Sutton Foster further complicated the situation. Although there were rumors of an emotional affair between Jackman and Foster, which allegedly led to significant strains in the marriage, both parties are reportedly moving on without any public drama.

Rumors about Jackman’s closeness with Foster had circulated, especially after Foster divorced her husband Ted Griffin, with whom she shares a daughter, Emily, 7. The whispers grew louder when Furness seemingly acknowledged the affair on social media. Additionally, sources confirmed to US Weekly that the relationship between Jackman and Foster played a central role in the divorce.

Jackman and Foster have since been spotted together, further fueling speculation about their relationship. They were reportedly seen holding hands in Santa Monica, California, earlier this year. Insiders affirm that the couple is happy and committed to a future together.

The Post has reached out to Hugh Jackman's representatives for a comment on the current development. Despite the complexities, both Jackman and Furness aim to maintain a focus on their roles as dedicated parents.
