**Daniel Jones Joins Vikings' Practice Squad**
Quarterback Daniel Jones has found a new home with the Minnesota Vikings. The team made the announcement on Friday, confirming that Jones has officially signed to their practice squad. This move comes after Jones was released by the New York Giants last Friday. News of the quarterback's agreement with the Vikings first emerged on Wednesday.
Head Coach Kevin O'Connell clarified on Wednesday that no immediate plans are in place to elevate Jones to the main roster or assign him a spot on the 53-man squad. Currently, Sam Darnold holds the starting quarterback position, with Nick Mullens as the backup.
In addition to acquiring Jones, the Vikings have also signed linebacker Gabriel Murphy to their practice squad. Murphy had been waived earlier this week. To make room for the new additions, the Vikings released tackle Julian Pearl and tight end Robert Tonyan from the practice squad.
