"Dancing With The Stars" professional dancer Artem Chigvintsev was taken into custody on Thursday morning under suspicion of domestic violence. The 42-year-old was booked into Napa County Jail on a felony domestic violence charge, as per California Penal Code 273.5(a). This specific penal code makes it illegal to cause harm to a spouse, cohabitant, or fellow parent in an act of domestic violence. Chigvintsev's bail was set at $25,000, which was subsequently posted.

The renowned dancer is married to former WWE wrestler Nikki Garcia, formerly known as Nikki Bella. Garcia had shared an Instagram Story on Wednesday mentioning her presence in Napa. Interestingly, Garcia is slated to co-host Netflix's upcoming live competitive eating event titled "Chestnut VS. Kobayashi: Unfinished Beef" on Monday.

Chigvintsev and Garcia first met during their partnership on Season 25 of "Dancing With the Stars." The couple, who now have a son named Matteo, tied the knot in 2022. Three days prior to his arrest, both Chigvintsev and Garcia took to Instagram to celebrate their wedding anniversary, displaying a seemingly happy relationship.

The arrest of Chigvintsev has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry. Fans and fellow dancers are left surprised and concerned about the allegations against the well-loved performer. As the legal process unfolds, Chigvintsev's future participation in "Dancing With the Stars" remains uncertain.

Domestic violence is a serious matter that warrants thorough investigation and consideration. It is the hope of many that justice will prevail and that the truth will prevail in Chigvintsev's case.
