### Dak Prescott to Undergo Season-Ending Surgery, Will Miss the Rest of the Year

Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott is set to undergo surgery tomorrow and will be sidelined for the remainder of the season. This announcement came from Cowboys owner Jerry Jones during an interview on 105.3 The Fan, where he shared that Prescott is currently in New York and has consulted with medical professionals ahead of his scheduled surgery on Wednesday.

"He'll have it there in New York. He had a good visit last night and he wants to do that there, and he's got great medical doctors up there," Jones stated. "His prognosis is wonderful, it just means we're not going to have him the rest of the year."

Prescott is slated to have the surgery to repair a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon. The expected recovery period is around three months, and with the Super Bowl less than three months away, it is clear that Prescott will not return this season, regardless of the Cowboys' performance.

In September, the Cowboys signed Prescott to a substantial four-year, $240 million contract extension. While he is anticipated to reclaim his starting quarterback role next year, the team now faces the challenge of finishing a tumultuous season without him. The Cowboys will also need to use the upcoming offseason to significantly improve their roster around Prescott.
