In a shocking turn of events, the police have revealed that cyanide poisoning is likely the cause of death for six individuals found dead in a Bangkok hotel. The authorities believe that one of the deceased individuals is the suspected killer.

During a press conference, the police announced that cyanide had also been found on drinking glasses and a water container at the hotel. Forensic experts from Chulalongkorn Hospital stated that the presence of cyanide strongly indicates that all six deaths were caused by the poison. The official results of further tests will be available on Friday.

Interestingly, there were no signs of physical violence or trauma to internal organs on the bodies, according to the forensic medicine expert. Interviews with the relatives of the deceased revealed that a dispute over debt related to an investment might have been the motive behind the killings.

Further investigation revealed that the victims were part of a group planning to build a hospital in Japan. Due to visa issues, the group decided to meet in Bangkok instead. A seventh person, who was part of the same hotel booking, was not found in the rooms. Authorities have located this individual, who happens to be the younger sister of one of the Vietnamese nationals, and believe she is not involved in the deaths.

Government officials have emphasized that this incident is not related to any criminal activities and should not impact tourist activities in Bangkok. The Grand Hyatt Erawan, where the deaths occurred, is located in the heart of the city and has yet to respond to inquiries about the incident.

In response to these alarming events, both the Vietnamese and US embassies have been contacted. The US State Department has assured its readiness to provide consular assistance, while the FBI is en route to Bangkok to aid in the investigation.

As the investigation continues, the mystery and tragedy surrounding these deaths have sent shockwaves through the city. Authorities are determined to uncover the truth and bring those responsible to justice.
