### Crypto Investor Arrested for Weeks-Long Kidnapping and Torture
A cryptocurrency investor in Manhattan has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and torturing a man over several weeks. John Woeltz, 37, was apprehended Friday after the victim managed to escape from a luxury townhouse in downtown Manhattan and contact the authorities.
The police revealed that Woeltz held the man captive in the opulent residence, subjecting him to assault and other forms of torture. Following the man's escape, Woeltz was charged with multiple offenses, including assault, kidnapping, unlawful imprisonment, and criminal possession of a gun.
Authorities also arrested another individual, Beatrice Folchi, in connection with the case. Folchi faces charges of kidnapping and unlawful imprisonment. However, her specific relationship with Woeltz remains unclear at this time.
