In a series of Instagram posts, Conor McGregor has shared training videos that have alleviated doubts about his anticipated UFC 303 comeback. The past week had witnessed speculation surrounding the main event between McGregor and Michael Chandler, leading to concerns that the highly anticipated fight might not happen.

The uncertainty began when the UFC postponed the scheduled press conference in Dublin without providing a reason. Rumors then started circulating that McGregor had sustained an injury, throwing the main event into jeopardy, and prompting the UFC to search for potential replacements.

However, McGregor's recent Instagram posts, which include a mix of old and new training footage, indicate that he is still actively preparing for the fight. The 10-slide post was captioned simply with a goat and praying emoji, boosting hopes among MMA fans.

Earlier this week, McGregor had posted a photo of himself grinning on what appeared to be a doctor's table, causing further speculation. However, MMA journalist Ariel Helwani provided a positive update, leaving fans once again optimistic. McGregor's teammate Brendan Loughnane commented on the post, expressing confidence that McGregor is ready for the challenge.

The fighter's former promotion, Cage Warriors, also commented on the post, hinting at the possibility that the fight may still be on: "So you're telling us there's a chance... the fight is still on."

Meanwhile, reigning lightweight champion Islam Makhachev has expressed interest in a potential fight against McGregor, despite the scheduled UFC 303 main event being set at 170lbs. Makhachev successfully defended his 155lb title for the third time against Dustin Poirier at UFC 302, equaling the record for the most lightweight title defenses.

There has been a longtime feud between Makhachev's team and McGregor, and the champion sees an opportunity to settle the score. Makhachev's next title defense is expected to be against number-one contender Arman Tsarukyan. However, the Russian fighter prefers a fight against McGregor, citing its higher media appeal, but doubts McGregor's ability to even make it to his next fight.

Makhachev's predictions for the upcoming fight lean in favor of Michael Chandler, stating that he believes Chandler is more focused, hungry, and has been training hard.

As fans eagerly await the confirmation of the UFC 303 main event, McGregor's training videos have provided some reassurance that the highly anticipated comeback fight may indeed take place on June 29.
