Kansas City Chiefs superfan known as "ChiefsAholic" has pleaded guilty in federal court to charges related to a series of 11 robberies in seven states. Xaviar Michael Babudar, wearing a gray wolf suit to Chiefs games, admitted to stealing over $800,000 with a guilty plea. The 29-year-old initially pleaded not guilty to 19 charges but changed his plea to guilty on one count of money laundering, one count of transporting stolen property across state lines, and one count of bank robbery in Oklahoma.

Babudar was released on bond in February 2023 but fled a month later, removing his ankle monitor. Authorities captured him in Lincoln, California, on July 7, 2023. As part of his plea agreement, Babudar must pay at least $532,675 in restitution to the victimized financial institutions and forfeit an autographed painting of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick L. Mahomes II.

U.S. Attorney Teresa Moore expressed that Babudar's crime spree traumatized bank employees and victimized financial institutions in seven states. Babudar faces a sentence of up to 50 years in federal prison without parole. The sentencing hearing is scheduled for July 10, 2024, following a presentence investigation by the United States Probation Office.

For further details on the individual "ChiefsAholic" robberies, information can be found in a release from the U.S. Attorney's Office, Western District of Missouri.
