In a surprising turn of events, a cat named Galena found herself trapped inside a box with an Amazon return and then transported over 650 miles from Utah to a facility near Riverside, California. The feline's ordeal lasted for an agonizing six days as she went without food or water.

According to Galena's owners, they had packed a box to return some shoes and dropped it off at a local facility without realizing that their beloved pet was hiding inside. Frantic search efforts went on for a week until the owners received a text on April 17th, revealing that Galena's microchip had been scanned in California.

It was thanks to the quick thinking and action of an Amazon employee named Brandy that Galena's predicament was finally discovered. Brandy stumbled upon the trapped cat while working at the Riverside-area warehouse and immediately came to her rescue. Showing great care and compassion, she ensured that Galena was safe and then took her to a vet the following day.

The owners, relieved beyond measure, wasted no time in booking a flight to California to reunite with their miracle cat. Thankfully, Galena is reported to be doing okay after her harrowing experience.

The incident serves as a reminder to always double-check packaging and thoroughly inspect for any hidden pets before returning items. As for Galena, she can now rest easy knowing that she has been reunited with her loving owners, ending her unexpected journey across state borders.
