Bungie, the developers behind the popular game Destiny 2, recently showcased the rewards and enhancements that players can expect in the upcoming expansion, Destiny 2: Into the Light. During their "reward stream," the studio revealed an impressive selection of weapons and armor sets that players can earn, along with the introduction of a new enhancement system.

One of the highlights of the reward stream was the introduction of a range of "greatest hits" weapons from Destiny 2, which include raid weapons, pinnacles, and various world drops. What makes this collection unique is that players will not need to own a specific expansion or raid to acquire these weapons. Bungie aims to make these iconic weapons accessible to all players, regardless of their content ownership.

In addition to the weapons, each class will have an armor set inspired by the early days of Destiny 2. While opinions on the design may vary, the armor sets are offered as a free reward for players. However, the real highlight of the rewards is the Superblack Shader. This highly sought-after shader will be obtainable through a mini-quest, and players will be able to apply it to their armor, showcasing their achievement.

The weapons showcased during the stream also featured a new Origin Trait. Kills made with a Light subclass will grant grenade energy, while kills with a Darkness subclass will provide melee energy, adding a strategic element to gameplay. Moreover, there will be Limited Edition versions of these weapons, with a different appearance and four perks instead of two. These exclusive versions will be randomly obtainable and will not be available after the release of the Final Shape expansion.

To further enhance the players' experience, Bungie is introducing the new Hall of Champions. Players can attune themselves to this location to increase the likelihood of acquiring their desired weapon drops. Additionally, a new "enhanceable" system will allow players to enhance the perks of the weapons they possess, creating personalized and powerful loadouts. Details on how this system will work have not been fully revealed yet.

The expansion also introduces a new perk called Last Stand, which boosts damage upon securing a kill. Melee and grenade kills will grant an even greater bonus, providing players with opportunities for more devastating encounters.

While some of the showcased weapons still retain pinnacle perks like Recluse and Luna's Howl, they have been adjusted to ensure balance in the game. However, numerous weapons demonstrated during the stream appear to be significantly powerful, with perks like Rampage and Killing Tally, leading to discussions about potential power creep.

Bungie has promised another livestream to reveal more details, which will shed light on the remaining aspects of the expansion. As of now, precise information about dates and specific entities are yet to be disclosed as the studio focuses on finalizing the Lost Sectors. Players are encouraged to stay tuned for further updates on Destiny 2: Into the Light.

In conclusion, Destiny 2 fans have much to look forward to with the rewards and enhancements presented by Bungie in their recent reward stream. A variety of coveted weapons, striking armor sets, and a new enhancement system showcase the studio's commitment to delivering an exciting and engaging experience for players when Destiny 2: Into the Light launches.
