ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported on Thursday that the deal will secure Hield a two-year contract worth $21 million.

As per the sources, Hield is set to earn $18 million in the first two years of the deal. Additionally, he will receive a partial guarantee of $3 million for the 2026-27 season, along with a player option for a nonguaranteed fourth year.

This move pairs Hield alongside Stephen Curry, creating a formidable duo that ranks as the top two 3-point scorers over the past five seasons. Hield boasts an impressive career 40% 3-point shooting average. The acquisition of Hield is part of the Warriors' efforts to fill the void left by Klay Thompson, who recently departed for the Dallas Mavericks after spending 12 successful years with Golden State.

Golden State will be sending a 2031 second-round pick, originally acquired from the Dallas Mavericks in the Klay Thompson sign-and-trade, to the Philadelphia 76ers as part of the deal.

To further bolster their roster, the Warriors have also signed De'Anthony Melton and Kyle Anderson, adding versatility at both ends of the court. The team is determined to assemble a formidable lineup and remain strong contenders in the upcoming season.

In the previous season, Hield played the most regular-season games in the league, appearing in 84 matchups for both the Philadelphia 76ers and the Indiana Pacers. He showcased his skills by averaging 12.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists in 25.7 minutes per game. While Hield struggled with his shooting during the playoffs, he managed to make an impact by sinking six 3-pointers in the 76ers' Game 6 loss against the New York Knicks in the first round.

With the addition of Buddy Hield, the Golden State Warriors' pursuit of another championship title gains momentum. Fans are eagerly anticipating the dynamic partnership between Hield and Curry, as they look forward to witnessing their long-range shooting prowess on the court.
