**Belal Muhammad Withdraws from UFC 310 Title Defense Due to Foot Infection**

UFC welterweight champion Belal Muhammad has announced that he will not be participating in his scheduled title defense at UFC 310. The fighter cited a bone infection in his foot as the reason for his withdrawal. The news, initially reported by Al Zullino on Twitter, was later confirmed by Muhammad himself through a social media post, expressing regret and faith in the unfolding of events.

Muhammad’s statement read, "Allah's plan is the best plan. I'm sorry to everyone that were coming to see me. I'll be back soon. Inshallah." As a result of his withdrawal, the UFC is currently in search of a replacement opponent for Shavkat Rakhmonov. However, it's still unclear whether Rakhmonov will be competing on December 7 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas or if the bout will be rescheduled.

Belal Muhammad recently secured his title with a unanimous decision victory over Leon Edwards at UFC 304 in July. "Remember the Name" has maintained an unbeaten streak in his last 11 fights, marking nearly six years without a loss.

Rakhmonov, who earned his title shot with a second-round submission victory over Stephen Thompson at UFC 296 last December, remains eager to compete. With an undefeated record and the distinction of having finished all 18 of his professional opponents, Rakhmonov has shown a dominant presence in the welterweight division. Following Muhammad's announcement, Rakhmonov took to social media to express his willingness to fight anyone for an interim welterweight title, wishing Muhammad a speedy recovery.

"Wishing Belal a quick recovery. We'll meet when you're back at 100%. For now, I'm ready to take on any contender for the interim title at #UFC310,” Rakhmonov tweeted.

As the situation develops, fans and fighters alike are awaiting UFC’s decision regarding the December 7 event, hoping for a swift recovery for Muhammad and clarity on Rakhmonov’s next opponent.
