In an ongoing effort to find missing autistic teen Sebastian Rogers, the Sumner County Sheriff's Office (SCSO) will hold a media update on Tuesday, although no new developments have been reported thus far. Chief Deputy Eric Craddock stated that the investigation into Mr. Rogers' disappearance is still ongoing.
Sebastian Rogers, a 15-year-old from Hendersonville, vanished from his Sumner County home on February 26, 2024. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) coordinated a large-scale ground search, with first responders covering approximately 2000 miles in their efforts to locate him, according to reports.
Last week, Rogers' biological father, Seth, disclosed during an interview with FOX 17 News that he, along with the boy's mother and stepfather, had met with the TBI. However, there was no new information that he was able to discuss.
Previously, the SCSO had announced that the case had transitioned from a search status to an investigational one, resulting in a scaling back of resources. Nevertheless, authorities are actively pursuing any leads that are received and conducting thorough follow-ups.
One month ago, investigators conducted a search in a landfill in Kentucky, but no traces of the missing teen were found. Despite the lack of new developments, the SCSO recognizes the importance of keeping the public informed during this ongoing investigation.
The media update will take place at 11 am CST on Tuesday, providing an opportunity for authorities to reassure the community that their efforts to find Sebastian Rogers have not waned. Although no breakthroughs have emerged, the SCSO remains committed to locating the missing teenager and bringing him back safely to his loved ones.
