**Atlanta Dream Parts Ways with Coach Tanisha Wright After Three Seasons**

The Atlanta Dream has decided to part ways with head coach Tanisha Wright following three seasons at the helm, the franchise disclosed on Wednesday. Wright stepped into the coaching role in 2022 and notably guided the team to playoff appearances in the last two seasons. However, the Dream was unable to progress past the first round, exiting the competition after being swept in two games each year, including their recent loss to New York last month.

"Tanisha was an important contributor in our efforts to rebuild the Dream, and we want to thank her for her hard work and dedication over the last three seasons," stated Dream executive vice president and general manager Dan Padover. "At this time, we believe a change is needed to lead our players and organization to the next chapter in our efforts to be a top team in the WNBA."

Despite Atlanta's overall record of 15-25 this season, the team managed to clinch a playoff spot by winning the final few games of the regular season. The roster boasts a promising young core, including Rhyne Howard and Allisha Gray, alongside seasoned veteran center Tina Charles. The franchise, however, has not achieved a winning record since the 2018 season.

Wright's departure adds to a recent trend in the WNBA, marking her as the third coach to lose her job in recent weeks. Curt Miller was dismissed by the Los Angeles Sparks, and Teresa Weatherspoon parted ways with the Chicago Sky. Miller was only in his second year coaching the Sparks, while Weatherspoon had just completed her first year with the Sky.

The Atlanta Dream is set to begin its search for a new head coach immediately.
