### Artem Chigvintsev Responds to Estranged Wife Nikki Garcia's Allegations

Former "Dancing with the Stars" professional, Artem Chigvintsev, has issued a rebuttal to claims made by his estranged wife, Nikki Garcia. Nikki recently filed for a restraining order, which was subsequently granted, along with statements that led to Artem's arrest earlier in August.

The 42-year-old dancer is strongly disputing allegations of violence towards Nikki, asserting instead that she was the instigator in the altercation. Artem has reportedly provided photographs of injuries to his neck, elbow, and hand, which he claims were inflicted by Nikki.

According to Artem, the incident escalated when he took their son Matteo upstairs in an effort to shield the child from the ongoing conflict. He alleges that Nikki then barged into the room and attacked him, resulting in a physical struggle on the floor. In his official statement, Artem mentions that he was the one who dialed 911. He also accuses Nikki of saying, "Do you understand how this is gonna go now Artem? You just ruined my career and you know it."

On the other side, a representative for Nikki Garcia told E! News that she sought a temporary Domestic Violence Restraining Order for her and her son's protection following the incident on August 29, 2024. Nikki has apparently asked the Napa District Attorney not to file charges against Artem to avoid him facing jail time but insists that he must still be accountable for his actions. According to Nikki, her foremost concern has always been the well-being of their son.

In a statement, Nikki expressed gratitude for the support and love she has received during this challenging period, while also requesting continued privacy for her family.
