### Apple's Next-Gen Vision Pro to Launch in 2025 with Advanced AI Capabilities
Apple is set to begin mass production of its next-generation Vision Pro in the latter half of 2025, according to prominent Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. This new device will be powered by the Apple M5 chip, poised to significantly enhance AI spatial computing capabilities.
The current Vision Pro model employs the M2 chip, and the leap to the M5 chip is expected to boost performance markedly. Apple is focused on making the human-machine interface more intuitive and efficient, leveraging the power of Apple Intelligence, eye tracking, and gesture control. The M5 chip’s advanced AI task handling will be fundamental in achieving this goal.
Kuo suggests that Apple will likely maintain a similar price point for the new Vision Pro by retaining most of the existing hardware while upgrading the chip. Consumers might also see a more lightweight design and a larger battery in future versions, though these features remain speculative at this stage.
The enhanced AI capabilities promised by the M5 chip could offer a user experience that surpasses that of current smartphones. If Apple can create compelling use cases, the next-generation Vision Pro has the potential to break into the mainstream market. However, only time will tell if these advancements are enough to capture broad consumer interest.
