Apple has recently rolled out minor updates across its operating systems, including iOS 17.6, iPadOS 17.6, tvOS 17.6, watchOS 10.6, and macOS Sonoma 14.6. While the official notes mention bug fixes, security updates, and optimizations, there are some hidden features worth noting. Notably, macOS 14.6 now supports multi-display in clamshell mode on the M3 MacBook Pro, enabling users to utilize two external monitors simultaneously. This feature was already available on the M3 Pro and M3 Max models, with a previous update extending the capability to the M3 MacBook Air as well.

Additionally, iOS 18.1 developer beta introduces Apple Intelligence for the first time to the public. Among the new features added in iOS 17.6 and iPadOS 17.6 is "Catch Up," designed for sports enthusiasts using Apple's TV app. This feature allows users to watch a rapid sequence of highlights from an ongoing Major League Soccer game before transitioning to the live broadcast. Despite these updates, Apple is not expected to release further minor updates until its annual updates rollout later this fall, which may include significant features like Apple Intelligence, a suite of generative AI functions, set to debut in iOS 18.1. The latest updates are currently available for download on all supported devices.
