In an ongoing legal dispute, former Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are locked in a battle over the ownership of their once-shared winery, Château Miraval. The couple, who split in 2016, purchased the French estate together in 2008. However, since 2022, tensions have been rising as Pitt sued Jolie for allegedly selling her stake in the winery without his consent.

Jolie's legal team recently submitted new court documents on August 1st, supporting her previous motion to have Pitt disclose his records relating to a 2016 plane incident. In Jolie's court filing from 2022, she claimed that Pitt had choked one of their six children during the incident. Pitt's attorneys had previously dismissed the motion as a "sensationalist fishing expedition."

While Pitt maintained that the case was simply a "business dispute," Jolie's team argued that it went beyond that. According to the court documents, Jolie alleges that Pitt is using the Château Miraval case as leverage to control and enforce her silence. The documents state that Jolie is entitled to gather evidence to support her theory while adding that she did not act with malice when selling her stake in the winery.

The issue of non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) has also played a significant role in the ongoing legal battle. A judge recently ordered Jolie to provide eight years' worth of NDAs, further highlighting the complexities surrounding the case.

As the legal proceedings continue, Jolie and Pitt also face a separate custody battle over their children Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox. The former couple's unresolved issues remain on opposite sides, creating friction that has yet to find resolution.

It is important to note that Pitt's legal team has refrained from commenting on the matter. The case will ultimately be decided by a jury, who will evaluate the evidence presented by both parties.

The Château Miraval case serves as another chapter in the complicated history between Jolie and Pitt, showcasing the challenges faced when untangling shared assets and navigating personal grievances amidst a high-profile separation.
