In a recent Instagram post, renowned restaurateur Keith McNally faced severe backlash for attacking journalist Lauren Sánchez's appearance. However, Navarro and Teigen swiftly defended Sánchez, criticizing McNally for his actions.

Navarro, co-host of "The View," pointed out the irony of McNally posting a slideshow of photos of Sánchez just to insult her looks. She questioned why he would go through the trouble of searching for and sharing eight pictures of her if he found her "revolting." Navarro's comment on McNally's post appeared on Tuesday and soon garnered attention.

With her recent weight-loss transformation, Navarro expressed a contrasting opinion about Sánchez's appearance, stating that if she had Sánchez's body and wealth, she would confidently embrace herself and not care about others' opinions. Navarro's fierce response highlighted the hypocrisy in McNally's actions.

Teigen, a well-known cookbook author, also came to Sánchez's defense. The 38-year-old described Sánchez as dynamic, accomplished, and kind, emphasizing that those who know her well would agree with her assessment. Teigen's support added weight to the growing chorus against McNally's derogatory comments.

Fans also rallied behind Sánchez, emphasizing her professional accomplishments. One comment highlighted her Emmy Award-winning journalism career and her expertise as a licensed pilot, underscoring that her appearance did not diminish her value as an individual.

Sánchez herself seemingly addressed McNally's remarks indirectly by sharing uplifting quotes on her social media platforms. Through her Instagram Story, she reminded her followers that people's opinions about them often have little to do with their true selves. She also shared a quote from fashion designer Rachel Zoe, urging kindness and support for loved ones.

This is not the first time McNally has faced controversy. In the past, he has called out celebrity diners for alleged rude behavior, defended accused sexual abuser Woody Allen, and made inflammatory remarks about attacks on Israel. However, he has remained silent on the backlash he received for his comments regarding Sánchez. Instead, he opted to promote his forthcoming memoir titled "I Regret Almost Everything."

As this Instagram controversy unfolded, it became evident that Navarro, Teigen, and fans stood firmly in support of Sánchez, highlighting her accomplishments and dismissing the importance placed solely on physical appearance. The incident serves as a reminder that women should be valued for their talents and character rather than being subjected to unwarranted criticism.
