The destructive tornado outbreak, the worst in nearly a decade, wreaked havoc across parts of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. According to the National Weather Service, more than 100 tornadoes were reported during the historic weekend outbreak, with Elkhorn bearing the brunt of the storm's fury.

Footage captured by Great Plains Tree Care the following morning showed their team members carefully extracting the tangled flag from the debris.
