The 49th edition of the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach has shattered attendance records for the modern era, according to the Grand Prix Association of Long Beach. The event, which took place from Friday to Sunday, drew an impressive crowd of approximately 194,000 fans, making it the largest turnout since the 2008 IndyCar - Champ Car series merger.
The Long Beach Grand Prix, known as the Southern Californian street race, is renowned for attracting the biggest crowds outside of the iconic races held at Indianapolis and Sebring. This year's event certainly lived up to expectations as fans flocked to the venue, creating an atmosphere of excitement and anticipation.
With reserved seats fully booked for the second consecutive year, the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach proved to be a hot ticket. Looking ahead, attention is now being shifted towards the planning of special activities in honor of the 50th anniversary celebration set to take place next year, from April 11th to April 13th, 2025.
