The Hollywood star has been fighting against the disease since April 2023. Taking to her Instagram account, Munn shared photos and detailed her ongoing fight against breast cancer.

Munn explained that her Breast Cancer Risk Assessment Score was found to be 37% during a visit to her doctor. Following the discovery, she underwent an MRI which detected Luminal B cancer, a particularly aggressive and fast-moving form of cancer, in both of her breasts. This devastating diagnosis came as a shock to Munn, as she had previously tested negative for the most well-known breast cancer gene, BRCA.

The actress disclosed that she had undergone four surgeries in the past 10 months in her battle against breast cancer. Despite the challenges she has faced, Munn admitted to only crying twice, as she remained focused and clear-headed throughout her treatment.

Munn made the decision to keep her diagnosis private, allowing her to navigate the most difficult parts of her journey before sharing the news with her fans. She explained that she wanted to maintain a sense of normalcy, being able to spend time with her baby boy and engage in everyday activities whenever she had the energy.

Despite her health battle, Munn made public appearances alongside her partner, John Mulaney, at the 2024 Oscars and the Governors Awards on January 9. Mulaney, a comedian, had revealed their relationship in September 2021 and also shared that they were expecting their first child together.

Their relationship came shortly after Mulaney's separation from his ex-wife, Anna Marie Tendler. Mulaney, who has battled substance abuse issues, expressed his gratitude for Munn's support during his recovery. The couple welcomed their child in November 2021.

Olivia Munn's bravery and resilience in the face of breast cancer serve as an inspiration to many, and her decision to share her journey sheds light on the importance of early detection and proactive measures in fighting against the disease.
