In a significant revelation for basketball enthusiasts, the 2024-25 Kia All-NBA Team has been announced, highlighted by NBA MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Nikola Jokić, and Giannis Antetokounmpo leading the First Team.
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Denver Nuggets center Nikola Jokić headline the 2024-25 Kia All-NBA First Team. Joining them are Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. Impressively, Antetokounmpo, Gilgeous-Alexander, Jokić, and Tatum were unanimous First Team selections, receiving top votes from all 100 global media panel members. Antetokounmpo now boasts seven consecutive First Team honors, while Gilgeous-Alexander, Jokić, and Tatum continue their streaks with three, two, and four consecutive selections respectively. Notably, this year marks Mitchell’s first appearance on the First Team, having previously been named to the Second Team during the 2022-23 season.
The Second Team is equally star-studded with the inclusion of names like Brunson and Edwards, both securing their second straight Second Team appearances. NBA stalwart Stephen Curry celebrates his 11th Kia All-NBA Team recognition, and LeBron James extends his remarkable record to 21 selections, a streak that commenced in the 2004-05 season. Additionally, Cleveland's Evan Mobley, honored as the 2024-25 Kia NBA Defensive Player of the Year, makes his debut on the All-NBA Team.
Rounding out the Third Team are first-time honorees Cunningham and Williams, along with Tyrese Haliburton, who makes the Third Team for a second consecutive season. James Harden, accumulating his eighth career Kia All-NBA Team selection and first since 2019-20, joins them, alongside Karl-Anthony Towns, celebrating his third Third Team selection.
The announcement, made live on Inside the NBA prior to Game 2 of Pacers-Knicks at Madison Square Garden, reflects meticulous evaluations by the media voting panel, who were instructed to vote without regard to position. Ernst & Young LLP was responsible for the independent tabulation process, where First Team votes carried five points, Second Team votes three points, and Third Team votes one point.
The comprehensive results of this year's Kia All-NBA Team underscore the extraordinary talents and dedication of the league's top players, setting the stage for another exciting season of basketball.
