**Arsenal's Goalkeeping Woes: 16-Year-Old Jack Porter Debuts in Carabao Cup**

Facing a dire goalkeeping crisis, Arsenal has enlisted 16-year-old Jack Porter to start in goal for their Carabao Cup match against Bolton. The young goalkeeper steps in amidst a spate of injuries and suspensions that have left the Gunners shorthanded.

The team is missing several first-team regulars, including Leandro Trossard, who is suspended after his red card against Manchester City. Additionally, the situation is further complicated as goalkeeper Neto, on loan from Bournemouth, is ineligible due to being cup-tied.

Arsenal’s injury list is extensive, featuring Kieran Tierney (hamstring), Martin Odegaard (ankle), Mikel Merino (shoulder), Oleksandr Zinchenko (calf), and Takehiro Tomiyasu (knee). Teenage goalkeeper Tommy Setford, who would have likely started, is also out with a hip issue. Meanwhile, David Raya, filmed limping and bandaged after the recent Manchester City match, remains unfit to start.

Manager Mikel Arteta has had no choice but to call upon Porter for his first-team debut. The team will also be without Gabriel Martinelli and Jurrien Timber, who were injured during the Manchester City game, though Martinelli is included on the bench.

Due to these challenges, a number of young players are getting their chance to shine. Prospects like Ethan Nwaneri, Josh Nichols, and Myles Lewis-Skelly have been included in the starting lineup against Bolton. The Arsenal XI for the match features Porter; Nichols, Kiwior, Calafiori, Lewis-Skelly; Nwaneri, Jorginho, Rice; Saka, Jesus, and Sterling, with Martinelli and other key players available as substitutes.

This match will be a significant test for Arsenal’s depth and resilience as they navigate their ongoing injury crisis.
