Iconic pop singer Madonna is facing criticism and legal action from fans after starting her concert two hours late. The issue was highlighted during a discussion on the popular talk show "The View," where co-host Sara Haines called out the singer for acting like a "diva."

Haines expressed her disappointment at Madonna's behavior, stating that it was disrespectful to her fans who had paid a significant amount of money to attend the concert. She emphasized the importance of respecting someone's time, especially when fans are spending hundreds of dollars to see their favorite artist.

Co-host Joy Behar joined in, questioning why Madonna consistently shows up late for her shows and jokingly remarking that she wouldn't wait two hours for a concert, let alone a hot oil massage from George Clooney.

Another co-host, Alyssa Farah Griffin, supported Haines' sentiments, describing Madonna's behavior as disrespectful to the audience that loves and supports her.

However, co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro defended Madonna, with Hostin stating that Madonna's tardiness is part of her allure and should be expected by fans. Navarro playfully teased Haines for defending the audience as if she were a concert newbie.

The discussion followed news that two fans had filed a lawsuit against Madonna, accusing her of "false advertising" after she showed up two hours late to a concert in Brooklyn, NY, in December. The fans claimed that Madonna's lateness was a breach of their expectations and the money they had spent.

Madonna's "Celebration" tour, initially scheduled to begin in July 2023, was postponed due to the singer's hospitalization for a serious bacterial infection. The tour eventually kicked off in October 2023 in London.

As of now, Madonna has not responded to the lawsuit, and her representatives have not provided any comment on the matter.

The incident has sparked a debate on punctuality and respect for fans within the entertainment industry, with people expressing mixed opinions on Madonna's behavior. While some argue that her lateness is part of her persona, others believe it is a sign of disrespect towards her fans.

Madonna's fans will eagerly await her response to the lawsuit and hope for improved punctuality in her future performances.
