The duo plans to relaunch the publication as a print magazine, website, and apparel company, along with organizing a much-anticipated live music festival.

The new offering, named the "Field & Stream 1871 Club," offers subscribers three tiers of membership options, ranging in price from $15 to $95 annually. Each tier provides access to online content, including new stories about hunting, fishing, and outdoor activities, as well as access to the extensive F&S archives. In addition, members who opt for the top two tiers will also receive a printed version of the magazine, released twice a year in an 11 x 14 format.

Aside from the magazine and online content, members of the Field & Stream 1871 Club will enjoy exclusive perks. These include access to members-only accessories such as bandannas and hats, as well as early access to purchase products and attend live events. Notably, members can be among the first to secure tickets to a music festival, which is expected to feature performances by Church and Wallen themselves.

To acquire the Field & Stream brand, Church and Wallen partnered with a team of investors, completing the purchase from Dick's Sporting Goods for the retail aspect and Recurrent, a digital media company, for the media component. The duo expressed their excitement and commitment to carrying on the legacy of Field & Stream, with Church stating that the magazine was like a Bible to him when he was a young boy, and Wallen emphasizing the brand's representation of outdoor camaraderie and creating lasting memories.

In a media landscape challenged by recent layoffs at major publications such as Pitchfork, Sports Illustrated, and the Los Angeles Times, the relaunch of Field & Stream brings a ray of hope. A press release reassured fans that Colin Kearns, the editor-in-chief of the magazine since 2016, would continue in his position alongside his editorial team. The brand will be overseen by Doug McNamee, formerly of Chip and Joanna Gaines' Magnolia brand.

The buzz around Church and Wallen's foray into publishing was ignited earlier this month when the singers made a brief appearance in a Field & Stream video narrated by Church. The announcement of their ownership and plans for the magazine have generated considerable anticipation among outdoor enthusiasts and fans of the country music genre alike.

Fans and subscribers can now look forward to a rejuvenation of the beloved Field & Stream brand under the guidance of Eric Church and Morgan Wallen. The blend of outdoor adventure, music, and authentic storytelling promises an exciting future for the historic publication.
