A lawsuit has been filed against Anti-Flag's lead vocalist Justin Sane, commonly known by his real name Justin Geever, for allegations of sexual assault, as reported by Rolling Stone. The legal action comes in the wake of the band's recent breakup, which followed multiple accusations against Sane.

The plaintiff, Kristina Sarhadi, has filed the lawsuit against Justin Geever and Anti-Flag's distribution company. In a statement, Sarhadi accused Geever of exploiting his position as a celebrated "punk rock star" to manipulate and prey upon vulnerable young women. Sarhadi claimed that Geever projected an image of defending and supporting women in his music, while secretly harboring an addiction to power and control, causing harm to numerous women who previously felt unable to come forward. She expressed her hope that this lawsuit will inspire survivors of Geever and other predatory individuals in the music industry to regain hope and speak out.

Sarhadi initially revealed her accusations against Justin Geever on the Enough podcast, a platform dedicated to shedding light on sexual assault within the music business. The podcast, which aired in July, facilitated an open discussion about the issue and allowed Sarhadi to share her story.

The lawsuit against Justin Geever and Anti-Flag's distribution company highlights the continuing struggle faced by the music industry to address allegations of sexual assault and misconduct. The case serves as a reminder that individuals in influential positions must be held accountable for their actions, regardless of their public image.

The legal proceedings will now determine the validity of the allegations made against Justin Sane and the potential consequences he may face if found guilty. As the case unfolds, the spotlight on the need for awareness and prevention of sexual assault within the music industry remains at the forefront.
