The Walt Disney World Resort has recently introduced a new fleet of buses that feature an upgraded system for securing mobility devices, such as wheelchairs and Electric Convenience Vehicles (ECVs). With the aim of providing a more convenient and seamless experience for all guests, the new system, named Q-Straint, ensures the safe and efficient parking of mobility devices during transit.

While the exterior of the buses retains the iconic Disney Transport logo and retains the white and red color scheme, it is the interior where the noticeable changes can be observed. Equipped with Q-Straint, bus drivers will assist guests in properly positioning their wheelchairs or ECVs within the designated area of the bus.

To use the Q-Straint system, guests are guided by a yellow line and instructed to reverse their wheelchair or ECV into the designated space. A button then lowers an arm on the exterior of the bus, securely fastening the mobility device in place. Additionally, a set of fold-down seats is available in the bay, ensuring optimum comfort for guests.

In addition to the enhanced mobility device securing system, the new buses also offer additional amenities for guests' convenience. USB chargers have been installed on the sides or bottoms of the vehicle, allowing passengers to keep their electronic devices powered throughout the journey. For those seated in the back, the end seats provide chargers on the sides, while between-seat chargers are available at the bottom.

As the new fleet of Walt Disney World buses rolls out, guests with mobility devices can look forward to a safer and more accommodating transportation experience throughout the resort. The updated buses, paired with the Q-Straint system, facilitate ease of travel and ensure that every guest, regardless of their individual mobility needs, can fully enjoy their time at the Happiest Place on Earth.
