In an exciting development for senior healthcare, CenterWell Senior Primary Care, part of Humana's Primary Care Organization, has revealed its plans to open new senior care centers in the Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas later this year. This move is a part of the organization's ambitious growth plan, which aims to establish between 30 and 50 new facilities by 2025.

With its sister brand Conviva Care Center, CenterWell Senior Primary Care is the largest senior primary care provider in the United States, serving approximately 295,000 seniors across nearly 300 centers nationwide. Now, the organization aims to expand its reach by bringing its high-quality care to the Capital Region.

According to Lisa Ferguson, corporate communications manager for Humana, two new facilities are currently in the works for the Baton Rouge area. One center is being planned for Groom Road in Baker, while another is being developed on Commerce Centre Drive in Prairieville. These centers are expected to open their doors by late spring or early summer, coinciding with the launch of two additional facilities in the New Orleans area.

The decision to expand in Baton Rouge and New Orleans reflects the growing demand for senior care in these regions. In fact, in the fall of 2022, Ochsner opened its own senior care clinic in Bocage, further underscoring the need for accessible and comprehensive healthcare options for the aging population.

CenterWell Senior Primary Care is known for its personalized and comprehensive approach to senior primary care, offering a range of services to meet the unique needs of older adults. By opening new centers in Baton Rouge and New Orleans, the organization aims to make quality healthcare more accessible to seniors in these communities, ensuring they receive the support and services they require.

In addition to the expansion into Louisiana, CenterWell Senior Primary Care has already initiated further growth plans in several other states. Florida, Indiana, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, and Virginia are among the states where expansion strategies are currently underway.

As elderly care becomes an increasingly essential aspect of healthcare, the expansion of CenterWell Senior Primary Care into the Baton Rouge and New Orleans areas signifies a significant step forward in meeting the growing demand for comprehensive senior primary care services. With the planned openings of multiple new centers, seniors in these regions can anticipate improved access to personalized, high-quality healthcare by late spring or early summer of this year.
