Game Recap: Chicago Fire FC 0-0 New York City FC

In a tightly contested match at Soldier Field in Chicago, Illinois, Chicago Fire FC and New York City FC played out a goalless draw. Both teams had their chances, but solid defensive performances ensured that neither side could find the back of the net.

In the dying minutes of the game, New York City FC brought on Birk Risa to replace Santiago Rodríguez, while Chicago Fire introduced Tom Barlow for Brian Gutiérrez. However, neither team could find a breakthrough, and the match ended in a 0-0 draw.

The draw leaves Chicago Fire FC and New York City FC with a point each. Both teams will now look ahead to their next matches. Chicago Fire FC will face Cincinnati on July 17, 2024, while New York City FC will take on Atlanta United on the same day.
