Crystal Palace continued to push for an equalizer, making another substitution in the 89th minute, as Jeffrey Schlupp replaced Tyrick Mitchell.

The drama reached its peak in stoppage time when Crystal Palace was awarded a penalty. Jean-Philippe Mateta coolly converted the spot-kick, firing a right-footed shot into the center of the goal, completing his brace and sealing a 2-2 draw for Crystal Palace.
