According to Albert Breer of SI.com, two Los Angeles Rams assistants with connections to the New England Patriots will be interviewing for the offensive coordinator position with the Patriots. Nick Caley, the Rams' tight ends coach, and Zac Robinson, the team's quarterbacks coach, are scheduled to meet with head coach Jerod Mayo.

Caley, who joined the Patriots' coaching staff in 2015 as an offensive assistant before eventually becoming the tight ends coach in 2017, will be interviewing on Monday. After spending several years with the Patriots, Caley moved on to join the Rams last year.

On the other hand, Robinson's interview with the Patriots is set to take place on Tuesday. Although drafted by the Patriots as a seventh-round pick in 2010, Robinson did not make the final roster cut. Since joining the Rams coaching staff in 2019, he has attracted interest from other teams like the New Orleans Saints and the Chicago Bears for their offensive coordinator vacancies.

The interviews with Caley and Robinson indicate that the Patriots are considering candidates with prior connections to the team and the coaching philosophy they have established. The offensive coordinator position is a crucial role within the coaching staff, as they will be responsible for developing and implementing game plans that maximize the team's offensive performance.

With the departure of Josh McDaniels, who stepped down as offensive coordinator to focus on his role as the team's assistant head coach, the Patriots are actively seeking a new candidate to fill the position. Both Caley and Robinson bring valuable experience and knowledge to the table, making them strong contenders for the role.

As the interview process progresses, it remains to be seen who will ultimately be chosen to lead the Patriots' offense in the upcoming season. The decision is expected to have a significant impact on the team's playing style and offensive strategy moving forward.
