In preparation for their upcoming Premier League match against Brighton, Tottenham manager, Ange Postecoglou, has made two changes to his team. Postecoglou, who had to cope with a lengthy injury crisis, suspended players, and international duties, now has a near full squad at his disposal.
With revenge on their minds after a 4-2 defeat in the reverse fixture last December, Tottenham will be looking to secure a victory against Roberto De Zerbi's men at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, De Zerbi himself will not be present at the stadium as he is currently serving a suspension.
Postecoglou has welcomed back captain Son Heung-min and Yves Bissouma, following their participation in the Asian Cup and Africa Cup of Nations, respectively. Last week, Pape Matar Sarr also returned to the starting lineup. Due to their recent heavy minutes played, Son will start on the bench alongside Bissouma, with Sarr taking his place in the starting lineup.
In another change, Dejan Kulusevski returns to the team, replacing Brennan Johnson, who will now be on the bench. Although Giovani Lo Celso has resumed training, he has not yet been included in the squad. The only remaining injured players are Manor Solomon and Ryan Sessegnon.
The Tottenham lineup for the match will be as follows: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bentancur, Maddison; Kulusevski, Richarlison, Werner. The substitutes for the match will be Forster, Emerson, Davies, Dragusin, Bissouma, Skipp, Hojbjerg, Son, and Johnson.
