In recent reports, it has been revealed that the Toronto Raptors are finding their options in a potential Pascal Siakam trade dwindling as the trade deadline approaches. Despite fielding calls for the talented 29-year-old forward, league sources have confirmed that there is currently no progress towards any trade deals involving Siakam.

The Golden State Warriors have long been rumored as a potential landing spot for Siakam, but it appears that the Raptors' demands are posing a roadblock. The Raptors reportedly have their sights set on Jonathan Kuminga as part of any trade, with Chris Paul included as salary ballast. However, the Warriors have made it clear that they have no intentions of dealing Kuminga, as he is seen as a key piece for their present and future success.

While the Warriors may consider swapping Moses Moody for Kuminga in a trade for Siakam, the Raptors are adamant about securing additional assets, such as promising young players or draft picks. The trade situation is further complicated by Chris Paul's hand surgery, which will keep him sidelined for at least a month.

Another team that had been in talks for Siakam was the Sacramento Kings. However, it has been reported that the Kings have pulled out of negotiations primarily due to concerns about financial commitments. The Kings already have substantial contracts for Domantas Sabonis and De'Aaron Fox, making it unlikely for them to offer Siakam a max deal. This effectively diminishes any chances of the Kings retaining Siakam as a pending free agent.

The Indiana Pacers emerge as a potential basketball fit for Siakam, with a possible trade involving Buddy Hield as the primary salary filler. Additionally, some young players like Aaron Nesmith or Jalen Smith may be included in the deal. However, the Raptors have stated that this offer does not meet their current asking price.

Another possibility for Toronto is to change course and extend Siakam's contract. While sources caution against ruling out a potential trade, there is speculation that an extension offer could be on the table. However, given recent developments and the Raptors' trade demands, an extension seems unlikely for Siakam, who may no longer be viewed as part of Toronto's future plans after the trade of OG Anunoby.

As the trade deadline looms, the Raptors find themselves in a challenging position. They must balance their desire to secure a favorable trade offer for Siakam with the risk of losing a key asset and the last remaining player from their championship-winning core in free agency this summer. The coming days will be crucial in determining Siakam's future and the Raptors' course of action.
