In a thrilling game at Ohio Stadium, the Ohio State Buckeyes held their ground and secured a 20-12 victory over the then-No. 7 ranked Penn State. Following this impressive win, Ohio State has maintained their No. 3 position in both the Coaches and AP Polls, solidifying their status as one of the top teams in college football.

Looking ahead, the Buckeyes have a tough challenge ahead as they prepare to face off against unranked Wisconsin at Camp Randall Stadium this Saturday night. With kickoff set for 7:30 p.m., college football fans can expect an intense showdown between these two Big Ten rivals. The game will be broadcasted on NBC, adding to the excitement of this highly anticipated primetime clash.

In the latest Coaches Poll, the top five teams have remained unchanged. Georgia still commands the top spot, followed by Michigan in second place, and Ohio State maintaining their firm hold on No. 3. Florida State and Washington round out the top five, securing their positions as well. Notably, last week's No. 6 ranked Penn State dropped to No. 10, making way for Oklahoma and Texas to climb up to No. 6 and 7, respectively.

Several teams experienced notable shifts in the Coaches Poll rankings. Notre Dame, LSU, and Missouri all jumped four spots, demonstrating their strong performances in their recent games. On the other hand, North Carolina suffered a significant drop of seven spots to No. 17 after a disappointing 31-27 loss at home to unranked Virginia. USC also had a rough week, falling six spots to No. 22 following their second consecutive loss, this time to Utah by a score of 34-32.

Within the Big Ten, Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State are currently the only teams featured in the Coaches Poll, as Iowa dropped out after their loss against Minnesota. Wisconsin, the Buckeyes' next opponent, received two votes in this week's poll, showcasing their potential as a formidable foe.

The AP Poll closely mirrors the Coaches Poll, as the top seven teams in both rankings coincide. However, Oregon takes the No. 8 spot in the AP Poll, with Wisconsin placing ahead of Penn State at No. 9. Ohio State, once again, garners recognition with three first-place votes in the AP Poll, compared to two in the Coaches Poll.

As Ohio State gears up for their upcoming game against Wisconsin, the Buckeyes will aim to maintain their impressive form and continue their ascent in college football. With their solid standing in the Coaches and AP Polls, Ohio State has showcased their strength and ability to compete at the highest level.
