In a display of relentless offense, the No. 17-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish secured a commanding 113-35 victory over the struggling Chicago State Cougars. Despite missing key players Olivia Miles and Sonia Citron, Notre Dame showcased their scoring prowess, reaching the century mark for the third time in their first five games of the season.

Leading the charge for Notre Dame was Hannah Hidalgo, who overcame early foul trouble to deliver an outstanding performance, leading all players with 23 points on an impressive 11-of-14 shooting. Joining her in double figures were Nat Marshall with a career-high 20 points, Cassandre Prosper with 19 points, Emma Risch with a career-high 16 points, and KK Bransford with 10 points. Maddy Westbeld dominated the boards with a team-high 16 rebounds.

Notre Dame's offensive dominance was evident throughout the game, as they outscored Chicago State 66-10 in the paint. The Irish displayed excellent teamwork, dishing out 24 assists on 45 field goals while committing just six turnovers.

Despite a valiant effort from Chicago State's Ana Haklicka, who led her team with 10 points and five rebounds, the Cougars struggled to find their rhythm on offense. They managed only 12 field goals on 55 attempts and were out-rebounded by the Irish, 52-31. Chicago State's 32 turnovers proved costly, as Notre Dame capitalized on them, converting them into 45 points.

From the opening tip, Notre Dame asserted their dominance, with DeWolfe laying in the ball for a quick 2-0 lead. Although Hidalgo faced early foul trouble and was relegated to the bench for the rest of the quarter, her teammates stepped up, propelling the Irish to a 28-10 advantage after the first 10 minutes of play.

The second period saw Notre Dame extend their lead, going on a 7-0 run before the Cougars finally made a basket. Chicago State endured a scoring drought of over four minutes, allowing the Irish to build a lead of over 30 points. Marshall became the first player for Notre Dame to reach double figures, pushing the team ahead 52-14 with just over two minutes left in the half.

The Irish continued their dominance in the second half, as Hidalgo exploded for 13 points in the third period. Prosper joined the double-digit club, further solidifying Notre Dame's control of the game. Despite a brief scoring drought, the Irish extended their lead to a whopping 75-25 with 3:13 remaining in the third quarter.

A late surge by Notre Dame saw them go on a 14-2 run in the final minutes, with Risch's basket pushing the Irish past the 100-point mark. Sarah Cernugel sealed the victory with two free throws, becoming the final Notre Dame player to contribute points to the scoreboard.

Next up, Notre Dame will travel to Muncie, Indiana, for an exciting matchup with Ball State the day after Thanksgiving. The Fighting Irish will aim to carry their offensive dominance into the upcoming game as they continue their impressive start to the season.
