With just one week left in the regular season, the NFL playoff picture is becoming clearer as teams vie for the remaining postseason spots. In Week 17, six teams have the opportunity to clinch their playoff berths, joining the seven teams that have already secured their spots.

The Cleveland Browns became the first team to punch their playoff ticket in Week 17 with a resounding 37-20 win over the Jets on Thursday night. As the seventh team to clinch, they set the stage for other teams to follow suit.

In the AFC, the Jacksonville Jaguars have a chance to clinch the AFC South and a playoff berth if they win against the Carolina Panthers, while the Indianapolis Colts lose to the Las Vegas Raiders and the Houston Texans lose to the Tennessee Titans.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City Chiefs, the defending Super Bowl champions, can secure the AFC West title and a playoff spot if they win or tie against the Cincinnati Bengals. Alternatively, if the Las Vegas Raiders lose or tie to the Colts and the Denver Broncos lose or tie against the Los Angeles Chargers, the Chiefs will also clinch.

The Buffalo Bills, on the other hand, have a whopping 14 scenarios where they could clinch a playoff berth this weekend. Some of these scenarios include a Bills win over the New England Patriots combined with a Pittsburgh Steelers loss or tie to the Seattle Seahawks, and a Cincinnati Bengals loss or tie to the Chiefs. The Bills' fate depends on multiple outcomes, highlighting the competitiveness of the AFC playoff race.

Looking ahead to Week 18, the Bills will have a chance to play for the AFC East title if they defeat the Patriots and the Miami Dolphins lose to the Baltimore Ravens. If the Dolphins lose, it will also allow the Ravens to secure the top seed in the AFC. However, if the Dolphins win, they will clinch the AFC East and keep their hopes alive for the No. 1 seed.

In the NFC, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers can clinch a playoff berth and the NFC South title with a win over the New Orleans Saints or a tie combined with an Atlanta Falcons loss to the Chicago Bears. Additionally, the Los Angeles Rams have two scenarios where they can clinch a playoff spot, either by defeating the New York Giants while the Seahawks lose to the Steelers, or by securing a victory while the Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers tie their game.

The playoff scenarios continue in the NFC as the Seattle Seahawks can clinch a spot with a win over the Steelers combined with a Vikings-Packers tie.

As the regular-season concludes, the Philadelphia Eagles have a chance to clinch the NFC East title if they defeat the Arizona Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys lose or tie against the Detroit Lions. A tie for the Eagles plus a Cowboys loss would also secure the division for Philadelphia.

The San Francisco 49ers could potentially clinch the coveted No. 1 overall seed if they defeat the Washington Commanders while both the Eagles and Detroit Lions lose their respective games.

With the playoff race in full swing, at least one spot in each conference will remain up for grabs heading into Week 18. The seventh seed in the AFC cannot be clinched this week, and the seventh seed in the NFC is also likely to be decided in Week 18, given the need for a tie for the Seahawks to secure their spot.

So far, three AFC teams have already clinched their playoff berths: the Baltimore Ravens, Miami Dolphins, and Cleveland Browns. Notably, the Browns and Lions find themselves in the playoffs together for the first time since 1994.

As the regular season nears its conclusion, the remaining playoff spots and seeding are up for grabs, promising an exciting and dramatic final two weeks of NFL action.
