In a thrilling debut game, Charlotte Hornets' forward Grant Williams showcased his skills, helping his team secure their first win since January 22nd. Williams, a former Hornets fan who grew up in Charlotte, expressed his excitement about being part of the team's rebuilding process under new ownership.

Hailing from Charlotte himself, guard Seth Curry also shares a special connection with the team, being the son of former Hornets guard Dell Curry. Williams acknowledged the presence of Dell, who is now a Bally Sports Southeast TV analyst, stating that playing for his hometown team was a childhood dream come true.

Williams demonstrated his talent on the court by contributing 15 points and eight rebounds in his debut game. His performance, along with that of new Hornets acquisition Vasilije Micic, made an immediate impact on the team's success. Micic, who played sparingly in Oklahoma City, impressed head coach Steve Clifford with his court vision, passing ability, and pick-and-roll skills during his 26 minutes on the court. Micic's remarkable outing included 18 points and nine assists, winning over the coach and solidifying his place in the Hornets' lineup.

On the other side of the court, Miami Heat's new two-way guard, Alondes Williams, earned a promotion to a two-way contract due to his development and versatility. Despite his high-scoring performances, including a remarkable 55-point game on January 7th, Williams' overall growth and ability to impact winning through defense and intangibles were what caught the attention of Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra. After spending training camp with Miami and starting the season with their G League affiliate, the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Williams showcased his potential and has now earned his place on the Heat's roster.

Meanwhile, Atlanta Hawks' guard Trent Forrest reached a milestone in his career, playing his 50th active game as a two-way player against the Philadelphia 76ers on February 9th. However, due to league rules governing two-way contracts, Forrest will not be able to appear in any more games for the Hawks this season, unless he is promoted to a standard deal. Currently, Atlanta has a full 15-man roster, leaving Forrest's future with the team uncertain.

As the NBA season progresses, these newly acquired players are proving their worth and adding valuable depth to their respective teams. Their performances on the court suggest that they will play crucial roles in their teams' quests for success in the near future.
