Minnesota Wild President of Hockey Operations and General Manager, Bill Guerin, has announced the acquisition of right wing Adam Raska and a fifth-round pick in the 2026 NHL Draft from the San Jose Sharks. In exchange, the Wild sent defenseman Calen Addison to the Sharks.
Raska, a 22-year-old Czech native, has played seven games with the San Jose Barracuda in the AHL this season. He made his NHL debut on January 11, 2022, against Detroit and has appeared in a total of eight NHL games with the Sharks. The 5-foot-10 winger has spent three seasons with the Barracuda, amassing 25 points and 182 penalty minutes over 110 AHL games. Prior to his time in the AHL, Raska played 57 games with the Rimouski Oceanic in the QMJHL, where he recorded 46 points and a plus-14 rating.
On the other side of the trade, Calen Addison leaves the Wild after recording 38 points in 92 games with the team.
This trade adds depth to the Minnesota Wild lineup with the acquisition of Raska, who brings speed and offensive skill to the team's forward group. The additional draft pick in 2026 will also provide the Wild with future assets to further strengthen their roster.
