FOX News Audio anchor and writer, Matt Napolitano, has tragically passed away at the age of 33 following a brief illness. Napolitano had been a valuable presence at FOX News since 2015, contributing his talents as a writer, producer, and on-air personality.

Napolitano initially joined FOX News as a writer for the dedicated SiriusXM news channel, "FOX News Headlines 24/7." Despite being relatively new, Napolitano quickly proved his skills in writing and producing, ultimately leading him to take on the role of sports reporter for the service, where he excelled.

After a short absence, Napolitano returned to FOX News Audio as an update anchor and reporter, showcasing his versatility by writing, producing, and anchoring across multiple platforms within FOX Audio. Additionally, Napolitano contributed to FOX Business Network's "Cavuto: Coast to Coast," providing audiences with the latest sports headlines. He also played a vital role in FOX News Edge, the network's affiliate news service, lending his voice to packages for various affiliates.

Over the past few years, Napolitano covered a range of noteworthy sports-related stories on FOX Business Network. These included reporting on the Walton family's plans to purchase the Denver Broncos in 2022 and, most recently, covering Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers' achilles injury and potential comeback in late November.

Napolitano's dedication to journalism and love for his craft were evident through his numerous appearances on FOX programs. Recognized for his attention to detail and extensive sports knowledge, he consistently informed FOX audiences about the latest sports news and updates.

Outside of his work at FOX News, Napolitano also showcased his intelligence by participating in popular game shows such as "Jeopardy!" and "Wheel of Fortune." As a contestant on "Jeopardy!" in July 2020, he emerged as a runner-up, followed by his impressive performance on "Wheel of Fortune," where he reached a bonus round.

Reflecting on his time on "Jeopardy!," Napolitano spoke fondly of the late host, Alex Trebek, and the impact he had on him. Napolitano shared, "I will never forget my brief time on stage with an icon. Alex Trebek's legacy will be something different to everyone, but for me, I'll always remember... it's cool to be smart."

In addition to the loss of Matt Napolitano, FOX News also recently mourns the passing of Adam Petlin, the Director of Chicago Bureau of Operations. Petlin, who had been with FOX News for nearly 30 years, died on December 23 at the age of 58. He leaves behind his wife, Lauren, as well as his 18-year-old daughter, Ava, and his 14-year-old son, Luca.

The FOX News community has been deeply saddened by the loss of Matt Napolitano and Adam Petlin, both of whom made significant contributions to the network in their respective roles. Their untimely departures are a reminder of the fragility of life and the lasting impact they had on their colleagues and viewers alike.
