BYU Women's Soccer Signs Six Talented Athletes for 2024 Season

PROVO, Utah - BYU women's soccer team has welcomed six new athletes to their roster for the upcoming 2024 season. The talented group of players hails from various states across the country, including Utah, California, Texas, Virginia, and Georgia.
Representing Utah are Ella Labrum from Draper and Mika Krommenhoek from Mapleton. Presley Freeman joins the team from Atlanta, Georgia, while Abbi Sine brings her skills from Coppell, Texas. Emma Hamberlin hails from Vienna, Virginia, and California's representative is Sommer Nestman from Clovis.
Freeman, a 5'7" defender from West Forsyth High School and United Futbol Academy, was recognized as the 2022 Most Valuable Defensive Player. Sine, a 5'3" defender from Allegiance Academy and DKSC & Dallas Texans, has an impressive record of participation in the USWYNT talent ID center, as well as being ranked in IMG Top 150 and Prepsoccer.
Hamberlin, a 5'8" forward from James Madison High School and TSJ FC Virginia, adds to the team's attacking strength. She already boasts an impressive roster of accolades, including the 2023 Girls Academy National Championship and honors from the Washington Post All-Met DMV High School Soccer.
Labrum, a 5'8" midfielder/forward from Alta High School and Utah Celtic FC, and Krommenhoek, a 5'6" midfielder from Maple Mountain High School and Utah Celtic FC, bring their skills and experience to the midfield. Labrum was honored as the Junior Female Athlete of the Year at Maple Mountain High School, while Krommenhoek was selected as a GA Top 35 National ID Player.
The addition of these six athletes to the BYU women's soccer team strengthens an already formidable roster. Head Coach Jennifer Rockwood expressed her excitement about the new signings, stating, "We are thrilled to have these talented athletes join our team. Their skills and dedication will undoubtedly contribute to our success in the upcoming season."
