In the midst of a tough season, head coach Eric Musselman and the Arkansas basketball team are dealing with the absence of two key players. Redshirt sophomore forward Trevon Brazile has been sidelined due to knee soreness, missing the entire second half of a recent game against Ole Miss and Saturday's home loss to Kentucky.

Musselman revealed that Brazile was not ready to return to action and had not participated in practice. The talented 6-foot-10 player's absence has been keenly felt by the Razorbacks, as Brazile was expected to be a leader for the team this season.

Despite Brazile's absence, Arkansas saw strong performances from big men Chandler Lawson, Jalen Graham, and Makhi Mitchell in the game against Kentucky. The trio combined for 25 points, 22 rebounds, and seven blocks, helping the Razorbacks out-rebound their opponents.

To add to their challenges, senior guard Davonte "Devo" Davis released a statement just before the Kentucky game, announcing that he is stepping away from the team. This marks the second time in two seasons that Davis has taken a break from playing. The team did not provide further details on Davis' situation.

Davis has been struggling in his senior year, averaging 6.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. His last game saw him play only seven minutes against Ole Miss, and he hasn't scored double-digit points since late December.

Coach Musselman has had to adapt his lineup throughout the season, constantly searching for solutions. Losing two key players has further complicated matters for the Razorbacks.

Despite their challenging record of 10-10 overall and a 1-6 conference play, it's uncertain if Arkansas can secure an at-large bid in the NCAA Tournament. Musselman remains focused on promoting effort, enthusiasm, energy, and connectivity within the team. He expressed his satisfaction with the team's effort and connectivity in the recent game against Kentucky.

Looking ahead, the Razorbacks will face the Missouri Tigers (8-12, 0-7 SEC) in a road game on Wednesday. Musselman will continue to make adjustments to the roster as his team aims to bounce back.

The game is scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m. CT and will be televised on the SEC Network.

Overall, Arkansas basketball faces challenges with key players missing from their lineup. The team will need to rally and adapt to maintain their competitiveness as they navigate the rest of the season.
