On the night of September 3rd, 2023, Dallas FC faced off against Atlanta United in a riveting game that concluded in a 2-2 draw at the Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

The match started in high spirits, with Dallas FC seizing an early lead as Paul Arriola, assisted by Jesús Ferreira, netted a goal just 4 minutes into the game. However, the tie was restored right before the end of the first half, thanks to Giorgos Giakoumakis of Atlanta United with an assist from Thiago Almada.

The second half of the match saw a reversal as Atlanta United, capitalizing on Dallas FC's momentary lapse, made a breakthrough with S. Lobjanidze scoring their second goal in the 58th minute, assisted by Santiago Sosa. The home team, however, quickly countered with Bernard Kamungo tying the match once again at 2-2 with a goal assisted by José Antonio Martinez in the 62nd minute.

In terms of game discipline, both Dallas FC's Sebastien Ibeagha and Alan Velasco saw yellow in the 69th and 53rd minute respectively. Atlanta United's Santiago Sosa and Giorgos Giakoumakis also had bookings during the 7th and 21st minute.

Dallas' coach Nico Estévez and Atlanta's G. Pineda made strategic player switches during the match. Dallas brought in E. Ansah, P. Pomykal, D. Sealy, and S. Lletget to shift their line-ups. Meanwhile, Atlanta United introduced T. Muyumba and Miguel Berry among others to alter their game strategy. However, these changes weren't enough to break the deadlock, and the match ended in a stalemate.

On social media, the referee I. Pekmic, was heavily criticized for poor decision-making with fans from both sides calling him a joke and questioning his lack of calls and inconsistent decisions which potentially affected the game's outcome and fairness.

The next scheduled game for Dallas FC is against Seattle Sounders on September 17th, while Atlanta United will face off Inter Miami on September 16th. With this latest tied game, supporters from both sides are looking forward to victories in their upcoming matches.
