Actor Richard Moll, best known for his role as Bull Shannon on the hit sitcom "Night Court," has died at the age of 80. Moll passed away on Thursday at his home in Big Bear Lake, California.
Born on January 13, 1943, in Pasadena, Moll had a towering presence with his 6 foot 8 inch frame and a distinctive deep voice. He gained popularity for his portrayal of the lovable yet intimidating bailiff Bull Shannon on "Night Court," which aired from 1984 to 1992 and also starred Harry Anderson and John Larroquette.
Moll's talent extended beyond "Night Court." In 1985, he received a nomination for a Saturn award for his performance in the horror film "House." Additionally, he lent his voice to notable characters such as Harvey Dent/Two-Face on "The Adventures of Batman & Robin" and Scorpion on "Spider-Man: The Animated Series." Moll's on-screen appearances included roles in "The Flintstones," "Jingle All the Way," "Casper Meets Wendy," and "Scary Movie 2."
Throughout his career, Moll made guest appearances on various television shows, including "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch," "7th Heaven," and "Smallville." In 2006, he appeared in the horror movie "Nightmare Man" and later starred in "Thomas Kinkade's Christmas Cottage" alongside Peter O'Toole, Marcia Gay Harden, and Ed Asner.
