In a recent development, actor Jamie Foxx has vehemently denied allegations of sexual assault made against him at Catch NYC & Roof in August 2015. The claims surfaced after the accuser filed a lawsuit against Foxx earlier this week.

Foxx's spokesperson went on to state that the actor intends to pursue a claim for malicious prosecution against his accuser and her attorneys for re-filing what they deem a "frivolous action."

The woman, identified as Jane Doe in the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, alleged that Foxx inappropriately touched her during a photo-op at the venue. She claimed that an intoxicated Foxx placed his hands on her waist and then moved them under her top to rub her breasts. The alleged assault allegedly escalated when Foxx allegedly placed his hands into her pants, touching her vagina and anus.

While the incident reportedly took place almost a decade ago, the woman was able to file her case under New York's Adult Survivors Act, which allows alleged victims of sexual offenses to pursue civil suits, even if the statute of limitations has expired. It is worth noting that this law is set to expire on Friday.
